OUR STORY

What We Stand By

At Sage Design Group PLLC,  we love what we do and where we live. We embrace the beauty and culture of the arid Pacific Northwest. Our staff is truly invested in cherishing our region’s rich history while looking toward the future. We look forward to shaping our community into something unique for visitors, natives and new families that will call this place home.

I don’t divide architecture, landscape, and gardening; to me they are one.

Nick Kirsch is a graduate of the University of Idaho where he completed both his Bachelor of Science and Masters in Landscape Architecture, as well as a Minor in Architecture. Nick also has 3 years of professional experience in both residential and commercial landscape design including site design, planting, irrigation, grading and construction.

The focus of his graduate studies was upon the Shrub-Steppe region of the Pacific Northwest with the goal of creating comfortable outdoor spaces in the Columbia Basin using plant species which are native or adaptable to the region. This goal has carried into his professional career as the co-founder of Sage Design Group PLLC.

Nick’s enjoyment of native habitat takes him throughout the Pacific Northwest to camp, fish and hunt from the Cascade Mountains of Washington and Oregon to the Sawtooth Range of the Rocky Mountains in Idaho. He believes that to truly understand landscape architecture one must experience and appreciate nature as a whole. Nick’s time spent in the wilds of the Pacific Northwest brings a perspective and passion to his work in an effort to bring nature into the built environment.
